The blade is carefully hand forged using 15N20 & 1095 steel through a process of layering, welding, hammering, and shaping. This traditional forging process creates a distinctive Damascus pattern across every blade, giving each knife its own unique appearance similar to a fingerprint. Each knife is individually handcrafted and truly one of a kind.
Damascus steel has outstanding properties of strength and hardness. We enhance these properties through double oil quenching at approximately 2100°F to rapidly cool the steel and develop hardness throughout the blade. The finished blade achieves approximately HRC 62+ on the Rockwell Scale for dependable cutting performance and edge retention.
The layered steels are finished using ferric chloride, which reacts differently with the metal layers and reveals the distinctive Damascus pattern across the blade.
The handle is handcrafted using exotic natural bull horn with a decorative brass mosaic pin for a distinctive and premium appearance. Natural horn gives each handle its own individual color, texture, and character. The handle is carefully finished and treated for durability, while the full tang construction extends the blade steel through the handle for added strength, stability, and balance.
