Feoh Handmade Japanese VG-10 Damascus Folding Hunting Knife - 8.0" Overall - 3.6" Folding Blade, Stained Maple Burl Handle, Under Lock Pocket Knife with Hand Stitched Leather Sheath, Pocket Knife Sharpener, Pro Knife Sharpening & Personalized
The blade is carefully made by combining 1095 & VG-10 steel through a process of layering, welding, hammering, and shaping. This process creates a distinctive Damascus pattern across every blade, giving each knife its own unique appearance similar to a fingerprint. Each Feoh folding knife is individually handcrafted and visually distinctive.
Damascus steel has outstanding properties such as strength and hardness. We enhance these properties through oil quenching at approximately 2100°F and rapid cooling to develop hardness throughout the blade. The finished blade achieves approximately HRC 62–65 on the Rockwell Scale for dependable cutting performance and edge retention.
The elegant handle is handcrafted using stained maple burl, selected for its distinctive natural grain, color, and character. The wood is carefully sealed and finished to help prevent cracking, drying, and moisture absorption while preserving the appearance of the handle over time. The knife is equipped with an under-lock folding mechanism for secure blade retention during use.
HAND FORGED JAPANESE VG-10 DAMASCUS STEEL: Made with hand forged Japanese VG-10 Damascus steel at approximately HRC 62–65 hardness, the Feoh is designed for excellent cutting performance, durability, and edge retention. The layered 1095 and VG-10 steel construction creates the distinctive Damascus pattern that gives every blade its own individual handcrafted appearance.
ERGONOMIC & WELL-BALANCED: The 8.0" overall design combines a 3.6" folding blade with a stained maple burl handle for comfortable balance and controlled handling. The compact folding profile makes it suitable for everyday carry, hunting, camping, outdoor utility, collecting, and general cutting tasks.
ULTIMATELY DURABLE HANDLE: The stained maple burl handle is carefully treated and sealed to improve resistance to moisture, drying, temperature changes, and everyday wear. Its natural burl pattern gives each knife a distinctive appearance while maintaining a comfortable and secure grip.
UNDER LOCK FOLDING MECHANISM: The Feoh features an under-lock folding mechanism designed to keep the blade securely positioned during use while maintaining a compact profile for carrying and storage.
SUPERIOR SHARPNESS: The edge is meticulously handcrafted by seasoned artisans to achieve a mirror-polished finish at approximately 12-15° per side using the traditional 3-step honing method. Precision sharpening helps create a consistent bevel and smooth cutting performance.
LIFETIME WARRANTY: No premium knife is complete without a lifetime warranty; this Shokunin USA knife is backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, with qualifying defective products eligible for exchange or return.
