The blade is carefully hand forged using 15N20 & 1095 steel through a process of layering, welding, hammering, and shaping. This traditional forging process creates a distinctive Damascus pattern across every blade, giving each knife its own unique appearance similar to a fingerprint. Each knife is individually handcrafted and truly one of a kind.
Damascus steel has outstanding properties of strength and hardness. We enhance these properties through double oil quenching at approximately 2100°F to rapidly cool the steel and develop hardness throughout the blade. The finished blade achieves approximately HRC 62+ on the Rockwell Scale for dependable cutting performance and edge retention.
The contrasting steel layers are finished using ferric chloride, which reacts differently with the metals and reveals the distinctive Damascus pattern across the blade.
The handle is handcrafted using natural bone and exotic Wenge wood, creating a distinctive combination of grain, color, and texture. The handle materials are carefully fitted, finished, and treated to help resist moisture, temperature changes, and everyday outdoor conditions. Full tang construction extends the blade steel through the handle for added strength, stability, and dependable handling.
